The Spanish brand has arrived in Portugal with a new Asian food concept

CBRE, the world’s leading real estate consulting company, was responsible for the placement of UDON, a restaurant that will bring great Asian food to the city of Lisbon. The Spanish brand opened in Portugal its first restaurant on Avenida Duque de Ávila, in one of the city’s prime zones.

The restaurant space occupies approximately 280 sqm. UDON is specialised in Asian food. Active in the market since 2004, it presents a unique business concept, inspired by the popular Asian noodle bars, and already has more than 30 restaurants in Spain. Despite serving various types of Asian food, such as tempuras, yakisoba or even miso, their specialty is noodles, a very typical ingredient in that area. The brand positions itself as a unique and differentiating restaurant, based on a very effective casual dining concept: fast, balanced and nutritious food, with a service based on customer preferences.

With four different types of noodles, ranging from wheat flour, whole wheat and even rice. Noodles is a dish of Asian origin, easy to digest and provides plenty of energy. This delicacy originally came from China, but its popularity has now spread not only to other Asian countries, but also across borders. Today it is one of the most appreciated and consumed dishes worldwide.

"The Asian gastronomy is now increasingly popular in Portugal, and for this reason, we believe that UDON’s innovative concept will be a success in an increasingly international city. CBRE is proud to support UDON opening its first restaurant in our country, in a prime area, which will surely attract many customers."
Carlos Récio, Director Retail Advisory at CBRE

Henrique Costa Pereira, the Brand Director, Portugal says that “UDON offers extremely tasty and innovative Asian food, having at the same time healthy concerns, as all products used are organic and with low fat and salt, thus combining a wealth of flavours with the most pressing needs for healthy ingredients.”
